In collaboration with the San Antonio Free Market Medical Association, SHANKX organized its 3rd Quarterly Meeting at the beautiful Club at Sonterra.

The meeting featured guest speaker Byron Hugley, CEO of Insurance TuneUp, who showed everyone how savvy healthcare shoppers can access all the care they need and put money back in their pocket.

How is it possible? In simple terms, Byron offers a plan that makes a set amount available for a given medical procedure. If you can find a better price, the insurance company will write you a check covering the difference. And no, your doctor does not have to be in-network.

Laso Health, headed by Dr. Mizani, presented its smartphone app allowing everyone to find pricing for specific healthcare services throughout Texas.

Beyond coordinating and planning the entire event, SHANKX also ensured that online viewers enjoyed an equally informative and high-quality viewing of the speeches. This happened with the help of Karlo Rodrigues of Helping Others Daily, who is a master at editing live video in real-time.

Baystate Health is pleased to host our first annual series of Community Benefit Forums,in partnership with our hospitals’ Community Benefits Advisory Councils (CBACs) and local County Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) networks. Each Forum will include a presentation from Baystate Health Leaders and the Community Benefit Team, followed by Q&A.
Following the Q&A, participants are invited to join a conversation (in partnership with CHIP) about the upcoming regional community health needs assessment.
BY THE END OF THE FORUMS, WE HOPE PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE:
• Increased their understanding of Baystate Health’s Community Benefit Program, its CB strategies and initiatives and how they align with/complement the CHIP process and other community efforts
