Missouri’s Republican governor, Eric Greitens, announced at a press conference Tuesday afternoon that he’s resigning, effective Friday.
Things looked bad for Greitens in January when a local TV station reported that not only had Greitens had an extramarital affair — he was also accused of blackmail, threatening to circulate compromising pictures of his mistress if she told.
In February, Greitens was indicted on a felony invasion of privacy charge for taking a nude photo without consent, but that criminal case was dropped in May after no photo surfaced…

The Root’s Monique Judge lent her voice to the chorus of those calling on ABC to cancel “Roseanne” and then applauding the network when they did so. Over the course of several hours today, Judge retweeted these takes on the controversy:

President Trump spoke at a rally in Nashville Tuesday night, and as usual, he didn’t hold anything back in front of an enthusiastic crowd of supporters.
CNN’s Jim Acosta was certainly happy to be there covering the event and made note that Trump at one point claimed that Rep. Nancy Pelosi “loves MS-13.”
